Atletico along with Uefa Will Review Alleged Spitting Incident Throughout Liverpool Game

Atletico Madrid will conduct an internal review into an intense altercation that unfolded during the team's three-two defeat against the Reds during the European competition, after footage indicating an individual from the backroom team spitting into the crowd.

Uefa is also reviewing the incident could initiate sanctions once officials have evaluated all relevant reports.

Diego Simeone received a red card after a furious exchange involving a supporter close to the away dugout following of the winning strike.

Atletico Madrid stated they will not comment publicly as the process continues, however the home side said it would provide necessary video evidence for any Uefa inquiry.

The Argentine manager commented after the match, "It's not very good for managers to react in such situations, is it? But when there are comments or discriminatory or offensive language, managers can react and fight back too."

The coach explained, “I refuse to get into the details of the insults. I have got to keep my composure. I know what went on near the manager's bench."

“I cannot address society's problems in one press conference. I must deal with it as it occurs in many contexts."

The clash has sparked significant discussion in sports media, and each side along with Uefa expected to continue their reviews in the days ahead.
